There was no surprise when 5th ranked Vienna (10-9) was defeated at home by second ranked Arkadia Lions (14-5) 88-77 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Four Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Reger Dowell (185-91, college: Texas Arlington) who recorded 24 points and the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Arkadia Lions have a solid series of three victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Kapfenberg lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position.
