Very significant was Stevnsgade's (#3, 10-5) victory against one of their biggest challengers SISU (7-7) 51-36. The game without a history. Stevnsgade led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SISU to just 6 points in third and fourth quarters. Stevnsgade dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to SISU's 28. Stevnsgade forced 19 SISU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Forward Emilie Hesseldal (186-90, college: Colorado St.) notched 8 points and 24 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) supported her with 13 points and 4 assists. Even 12 points by forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) did not help to save the game for SISU. American guard Hannah Schaible (175-94, college: G.Washington) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Stevnsgade (10-5) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position having just three points less than leader Horsholm. SISU at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Stevnsgade will play against bottom-ranked Vaerlose (#6) at home in the next round. SISU will play against the league's leader Horsholm and hopes to get back on the winning track.
