Thirteenth-ranked Delikatesas (6-25) made lots of trouble for eleventh ranked Ereliai Mazeikiai (13-18) in Joniskis on Friday. The visitors from Mazeikiai managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected easier game. Ereliai Mazeikiai outrebounded Delikatesas 42-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. Delikatesas was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Aurimas Urbonas (190-93) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Nerijus Barauskas (207-92) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) produced 41 points (!!!) and guard Sarunas Kulevicius (191-89) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ereliai Mazeikiai moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Taurages. Delikatesas lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 25 games lost. Ereliai Mazeikiai will face league's leader Vytis in Sakiai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Delikatesas will play on the road against Palanga (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
