Another exciting game was played in Kaunas between eighth ranked Telsiai and 5th ranked Zalgiris II where Telsiai (16-15) won against Zalgiris II (16-14) on the road 84-79. Telsiai made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Strangely Zalgiris II outrebounded Telsiai 41-28 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Zalgiris II was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Center Deividas Keburys (202-90) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International center Martynas Sajus (208-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Matas Jogela (198-98) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Zalgiris II. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zalgiris II's coach Tomas Masiulis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Telsiai moved-up to seventh place. Zalgiris II at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Telsiai will play against KTU (#12) in Kaunas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zalgiris II will play on the road against Jonava (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
