Regular Season Round 17: Timberwolves - KOS 88-87

Eighth-ranked KOS (7-9) made lots of trouble for first ranked Timberwolves (16-1) in Vienna on Saturday. Timberwolves managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 26-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Timberwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 assists. Forward Philipp D'Angelo (198-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian point guard Jan Razdevsek (185-0) produced 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian point guard Ziga Erculj (182-86) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Five Timberwolves and four KOS players scored in double figures. Timberwolves maintains first place with 16-1 record. KOS at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Timberwolves are looking forward to face Blackbirds (#6) in Jennersdorf in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KOS will play at home against Mustangs and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
