There was no surprise when 7th ranked Ansbach (8-9) was outplayed on the road by fourth ranked Vilsbiburg (13-4) 98-78 on Saturday. Vilsbiburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Czech center Lubos Novy (204-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane) helped adding 3 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Four Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St., agency: Athleadz) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Christopher Roll (180-93) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Vilsbiburg maintains fourth place in South-East with 13-4 record. Loser Ansbach keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Vilsbiburg will have a break next round.
