Regular Season Round 22: Vilkmerge - Aistes-LSU 50-74

The game in Ukmerge supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Aistes-LSU (8-10) played at the court of 6th ranked Vilkmerge (4-15). Aistes-LSU smashed Vilkmerge 74-50. The game was mostly controlled by Aistes-LSU. Vilkmerge was better in fourth quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aistes-LSU forced 19 Vilkmerge turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Karolina Kazociunaite (179-99) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds. Monika Petrauskaite (182-92) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Aistes-LSU's coach Rokas Kondratavicius felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Martyna Petrenaite (181-98) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Kamile Berenyte (185-97) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vilkmerge. Despite that victory Aistes-LSU went down to fifth position due to points difference. Vilkmerge lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 15 games lost. Aistes-LSU will play against higher ranked Fortuna (#4) in Klaipeda in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vilkmerge will play at home against the league's second-placed Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
