Very expected game when 8th ranked Karesi Spor (11-9) lost to second ranked Afyon Bld (16-4) in Afyonkarahisar 65-83 on Saturday. Afyon Bld dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Karesi Spor's 30. They outrebounded Karesi Spor 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Talat-Alp Altunbey (204-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 11 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Cevher Ozer (206-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Afyon Bld players scored in double figures. American point guard Jerry Smith (188-87, college: Louisville, agency: HMS) replied with 29 points and 6 rebounds and guard Umutcan Ozyildirim (196-83) added 6 points in the effort for Karesi Spor.
