The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Portoroz's (8-9) home victory over 8th ranked Grosuplje (7-11) 76-63 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Portoroz's pressure prevailed and they won that period 23-14 extending their advantage to 13 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Grosuplje's 28. They outrebounded Grosuplje 43-25 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Ukrainian power forward Vadym Prokopenko (206-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Enej Miklavcic (182-98) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Portoroz players scored in double figures. Anze Vinazza (-94) came up with 12 points and 9 assists and point guard Aljaz Marinc (190-97) added 22 points respectively for Grosuplje in the defeat. Portoroz maintains seventh place with 8-9 record. Loser Grosuplje keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Portoroz will meet higher ranked Celje (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Grosuplje will play against the league's second-placed Sezana having rather not much hope for a victory.
