Yakin Dogu looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Kayla McBride (180-92, college: Notre Dame) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Her fellow American import center Jantel Lavender (191-88, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Romanian forward Gabriela Marginean (182-87, college: Drexel, agency: LBM Management) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and Australian center Marianna Tolo (196-89, agency: ProDep Management) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Yakin Dogu. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-1 record. Loser Abdullah Gul keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Yakin Dogu's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Galatasaray.
