An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Montana. Second ranked Montana 2003 faced one of their biggest challengers Slavia. Host Montana 2003 (3-1) smashed guests from Sofia (1-3) 98-62. The game without a history. Montana 2003 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Montana 2003 outrebounded Slavia 49-29 including a 38-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Slavia's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Maria Zhelyazkova (182-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and international Radostina Dimitrova (181-94) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Montana 2003 players scored in double figures. Montana 2003's coach Stefan Mihaylov felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Ester Micheva (180-94) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Stefka Nikolova (173-90) scored 15 points. Montana 2003 maintains second position in Places 1-4 with 3-1 record having just one point less than leader NSA. Newly promoted Slavia keeps the third place with three games lost. Montana 2003 will meet league's leader Beroe in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slavia will play against Rilski Sportist in Samokov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
