We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Terceira (8-11) lost on the road to ninth ranked Galitos-Barreiro (8-11) 65-61 on Sunday. The winners were led by American guard Cedric Isom (188-84, college: E.Texas Baptist) who scored that evening 24 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Bojan Petrovic (206-88) supported him with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Isom is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by American point guard Isaiah Johnson (183-93, college: Young Harris) did not help to save the game for Terceira. His fellow American import power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) added 13 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Galitos-Barreiro moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Terceira. Terceira lost fourth consecutive game. Galitos-Barreiro will meet higher ranked CAB Madeira (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Terceira will have a break next round.
