No shocking result in a game when second ranked ALBA Berlin (15-4) defeated at home 9th ranked Brose Baskets (10-8) 81-75 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Brose Baskets were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Peyton Siva (183-90, college: Louisville) who scored 25 points and 6 assists. The other American import forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and Greek point guard Nikolaos Zisis (197-83, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. ALBA Berlin have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-4 record having just one point less than leader B.Muenchen. Defending champion Brose Baskets keep the ninth place with eight games lost. ALBA Berlin will face Science City Jena (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brose Baskets will play against the league's leader Bayern Muenchen (#1) and hope to win that game.
