Regular Season Round 21: Konjice - LTH Castings 85-75

There was an upset when 4th placed LTH Castings (11-9) were defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Konjice (6-14) 85-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Konjice. LTH Castings was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Konjice dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to LTH Castings' 24. Konjice forced 21 LTH Castings turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Niko Bacvic (180-97) who scored 19 points and 7 assists. Forward Gasper Sevsek (198-93) chipped in 14 points. Konjice's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jan Strmcnik (187-98) who recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and guard David Kralj (191-99) added 21 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. They have a solid series of three victories in a row. Konjice maintains eleventh place with 6-14 record. LTH Castings lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with nine games lost. Konjice will face league's leader Terme Olimia in Podcetrtek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LTH Castings will play at home against Parklji where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
