Rather expected game in Lichterfelde where 6th ranked Osnabruecker (7-9) was defeated by third ranked TuSLi Berlin (10-4) 64-56 on Saturday. Lena Gohlisch (173-93) stepped up and scored 32 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and power forward Nyara Sabally (-0) chipped in 17 points and 13 rebounds. TuSLi Berlin's coach Alexandra Maerz used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. American guard N'Dea Bryant (183-94, college: N.Carolina) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Xylina McDaniel (188, college: N.Carolina) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. TuSLi Berlin maintains third place in North with 10-4 record having five points less than leader Freiburg. Osnabruecker lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. TuSLi Berlin will meet Braunschweig (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Osnabruecker will play against B.Loewen and hope to secure a win.
