Second Stage Round 4: Rilski 2 - Vidabasket 80-82

A very interesting game took place in Samokov. It ended with only two-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Rilski 2 (0-4) to third ranked Vidabasket (2-1) 82-80 on Sunday evening. Vidabasket made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Rilski 2 turnovers. Strangely Rilski 2 outrebounded Vidabasket 43-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Teodor Nikolov (194-95) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Julian Kolev (194-80) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Vidabasket players scored in double figures. Swingman Miroslav Vasov (198-98) produced 31 points and 4 assists and guard Vasil Popov (185-2) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Vidabasket maintains third position in A with 2-1 record having just three points less than leader CSKA. Rilski 2 at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Vidabasket's next round opponent will be Chernomorets (#4) in Burgas. Rilski 2 will play at home against Balkan 2 and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
