A very interesting game took place in Yalova. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Elazig (9-10) to sixteenth ranked Yalova Vip (4-15) 64-62 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Yalova Vip forced 22 Elazig turnovers. American forward Corinne Costa (193-92, college: UCLA) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. American power forward Sharon Houston (191-88, college: IU Northwest, agency: Gamble Sports Management) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Nihal Gungor (-90, agency: LBM Management) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Elazig. Elazig's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Yalova Vip moved-up to fifteenth place. Elazig at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Yalova Vip's next round opponent will be higher ranked Edremit (#6) in Balikesir and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
