2.Bundesliga top team - Timberwolves (17-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Blackbirds (10-8) in Jennersdorf 73-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Blackbirds. Blackbirds were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Christoph Astl (187-88) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Sebastian Koch (202-88) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Timberwolves maintains first position with 17-1 record. Newly promoted Blackbirds keep the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Rocks. Timberwolves will play against Raiders (#4) in Villach in the next round. Blackbirds will play at home against KOS and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
