Second Stage Round 4: Dragon Force - Vasco 86-72

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Porto: Dragon Force (#9) and Vasco (#12). Dragon Force (11-7) won against visiting Vasco (7-10) 86-72. Dragon Force dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vasco's 30. They outrebounded Vasco 42-27 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Agenor Rolo (193-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and forward Henrique Barros (193-99) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Ricardo Alpuim (191-88) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Gustavo Teixeira (170-0) scored 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dragon Force have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position in Places 9-16 with 11-7 record. Loser Vasco keeps the twelfth place with ten games lost. Dragon Force will face Angrabasket (#13) on the road in the next round. Vasco will play against Moscavide and hope to win that game.
