Very important is a home loss of third ranked Arkadia Lions (15-6) against fourth ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (12-9) on Friday night. Host Arkadia Lions were defeated by Raiffeisen Flyers Wels in a tough game in Traiskirchen 86-95. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Arkadia Lions. The guests were ahead by 11 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 30-20 run, which allowed them to win the game. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels outrebounded Arkadia Lions 42-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Siyani Chambers (183-93, college: Harvard) contributed with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Bosnian-Croatian power forward Jozo Brkic (211-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Arkadia Lions. Five Raiffeisen Flyers Wels and four Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels maintains fourth position with 12-9 record. Arkadia Lions at the other side keep the third place with six games lost. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play against league's leader Kapfenberg Bulls at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Arkadia Lions will play against the league's second-placed Gmunden Swans and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
