Regular Season Round 13: Dynamo-NPU - Tavriyska Zirka 78-68

Bottom-ranked Tavriyska Zirka is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 17th consecutive match to fifth ranked Dynamo-NPU (7-10) 78-68. It looked good early as Tavriyska Zirka took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Dynamo-NPU had a 23-9 second period charge getting the lead and Tavriyska Zirka was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-78. Dynamo-NPU shot 26 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Tavriyska Zirka only scored seven points from the stripe. Tavriyska Zirka was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Nataliia Tsiubyk (178-98) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Daryna Dubrovska (190-99) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side power forward Marharyta Hliebova (187-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Mariya Tkach (180-92) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Dynamo-NPU and four Tavriyska Zirka players scored in double figures. Dynamo-NPU maintains fifth place with 7-10 record. Tavriyska Zirka lost their seventeenth game in a row. They still close the standings. Dynamo-NPU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kyiv to the arena Kyiv Basket.
