Very predictable result when fourth ranked Rendsburg (12-6) won against 11th ranked ALBA-2 (5-12) in Berlin 78-61 on Saturday. Rendsburg forced 27 ALBA-2 turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Garrett Jefferson (190-91, college: Cal.Baptist) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 4 assists. British power forward Deji Adekunle (209-92, college: Keiser) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Rendsburg players scored in double figures. Forward Lorenz Brenneke (205-0) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Abdulah Kameric (190-0) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ALBA-2. ALBA-2's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Rendsburg have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Aschersleben. Loser ALBA-2 keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Rendsburg will face WSG Koenigs (#10) in Wildau in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA-2 will play on the road against Aschersleben and hope to win that game.
