Sixth-ranked Muenchen OSB (10-9) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Vilsbiburg (14-4) on Saturday. Vilsbiburg managed to secure only three-point victory 99-96. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Muenchen OSB. Vilsbiburg dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Muenchen OSB's 38. Vilsbiburg forced 20 Muenchen OSB turnovers. American swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Czech center Lubos Novy (204-91) accounted for 26 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Jermaine Lippert (203-90, college: Detroit Mercy) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) added 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Muenchen OSB in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vilsbiburg maintains fourth place in South-East with 14-4 record. Newly promoted Muenchen OSB keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Vilsbiburg will meet Rosenheim (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenchen OSB will play against GGZ Baskets (#14) and hope to secure a win.
