ProA top team - SC Rasta Vechta (22-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Kirchheim Knights (11-12) 110-81. SC Rasta Vechta well out of reach of Kirchheim Knights shooting 70.9 percent from the field and made 19-of-15 free shots (126.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kirchheim Knights 33-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. SC Rasta Vechta shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Kirchheim Knights' players. It was a quality performance for American guard Chris Carter (195-92, college: Florida Tech, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 9 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Seth Hinrichs (201-93, college: Lafayette, agency: Duran International) accounted for 13 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Five SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. American guard Corban Collins (190-94, college: Alabama) came up with 25 points and Swedish point guard Charles Barton (193-92, college: Oregon St.) added 15 points and 5 assists respectively for Kirchheim Knights in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for SC Rasta Vechta. They maintain first place with 22-2 record. Loser Kirchheim Knights keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Hanau. SC Rasta Vechta will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kirchheim Knights will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#4) and hope to secure a win.
