Superleague top team - Kyiv Basket (18-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Tavriyska Zirka (0-17) 109-34. The game without a history. Kyiv Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Tavriyska Zirka to just 4 points in first quarter and to 14 points in first half. Kyiv Basket held Tavriyska Zirka to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.7 percent accuracy of the winners. Kyiv Basket forced 37 Tavriyska Zirka turnovers and outrebounded them 43-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tavriyska Zirka's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Tavriyska Zirka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Kyiv Basket have an impressive series of eighteen victories in a row. Newly promoted Kyiv Basket maintains first place with 18-0 record. Tavriyska Zirka at the other side still closes the standings. Kyiv Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kyiv Dynamo-NPU.
