Regular Season Round 22: Yalova Bld - Turk Telekom 75-109

Leader Turk Telekom delivered the twenty first victory. This time they crushed 18th ranked Yalova Bld (4-18) 109-75. Turk Telekom shot the lights out from three nailing 21 long-distance shots on high 55.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Yalova Bld's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard TJ Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). The other American import power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Turk Telekom's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Sinan Saglam (198-98, college: Fordham) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian center Jeleel Akindele (216-83, college: Chicago St., agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Yalova Bld. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom (21-1) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Yalova Bld lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. Turk Telekom will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yalova Bld will play on the road against TED Kolejliler (#14) in Ankara and hopes to get back on the winning track.
