Regular Season Round 21: Treuchtlingen - Rosenheim 102-57

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Rosenheim (5-13) was outleveled by third ranked Treuchtlingen (15-4) in Treutchlingen 102-57 on Saturday. Treuchtlingen dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Rosenheim's 26. They outrebounded Rosenheim 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Treuchtlingen looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Rosenheim's players. It was a good game for guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Florian Beierlein (195-95) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Treuchtlingen players scored in double figures. Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Gaizauskas (201-91, college: Ohio Valley) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and French forward Evans Ganapamo (201-94, college: Prairie View A&M) added 11 points in the effort for Rosenheim. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Treuchtlingen maintains third place in South-East with 15-4 record having four points less than leader Muenster. Loser Rosenheim keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Treuchtlingen will face Jena II (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rosenheim will play against Vilsbiburg and hope to win that game.
