An interesting game for Ormanspor (6-10) which played road game in Istanbul against 4th ranked Istanbul Uni (1-17). Second ranked Ormanspor managed to get a 8-point victory 77-69. Ormanspor had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American point guard Jasmine Thomas (175-89, college: Duke) who led her team to a victory with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import guard Brittney Sykes (175-94, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Romanian forward Claudia Pop (182-89, agency: ProDep Management) replied with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Istanbul Uni. Despite that victory Ormanspor went down to fourth position due to points difference. Istanbul Uni lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 17 games lost. Ormanspor will face Besiktas (#5) in Istanbul in the next round. Istanbul Uni will play on the road against Mersin BSB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
