The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kapfenberg Bulls as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kapfenberg Bulls smashed 7th ranked Gunners Oberwart at home 89-67. The game without a history. Kapfenberg Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Kapfenberg Bulls especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (190-92) who scored 27 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). International center Jozo Rados (208-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Kapfenberg Bulls players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Louis Dabney (190-93, college: Tulane) who recorded 26 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import forward Marcel White (198-93, college: Jacksonville) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Gmunden. Gunners Oberwart lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. Gunners Oberwart will play next round against Furstenfeld Panthers trying to get back on the winning streak. Kapfenberg Bulls will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels on the road.
