The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked KOS's (7-11) road loss to seventh ranked Blackbirds (11-8) 69-87 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-69. Blackbirds forced 19 KOS turnovers. Forward Christoph Astl (187-88) fired 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Philipp Horvath (175-87) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Four Blackbirds players scored in double figures. Blackbirds' coach Daniel Muellner used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Marin Sliskovic (201-95) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian center Vjeran Soldo (206-84) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Blackbirds moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rocks. KOS lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Blackbirds will meet higher ranked Raiders (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KOS will play against Basket 2K (#11) and hope to secure a win.
