We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Goetting.ASC (9-9) beat on the road 6th ranked Stade (9-8) 109-96 on Sunday. Goetting.ASC made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Stade was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for point guard Marco Grimaldi (188-83) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Yettra Specks (178-95, college: Jackson St.) answered with 27 points and 4 assists and swingman Janis Stielow (193-95) added 21 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Stade. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Goetting.ASC maintains seventh place in North with 9-9 record. Loser Stade keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Goetting.ASC will face league's second-placed Neustadt TSV at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
