Regular Season Round 16: Stevnsgade - Virum 46-82

An interesting game for Virum (13-4) which played road game in Stevnsgade against one of their biggest challengers Stevnsgade (11-6). Second ranked Virum had an easy win 82-46. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Stevnsgade. The game without a history. Virum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Stevnsgade to just 6 points in second quarter. Virum dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Stevnsgade's 26. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 59-18 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds. French forward Rudiane Eduardo (185-93, college: UTEP, agency: ProDep Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Virum players scored in double figures. The former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) replied with 6 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Maja Gerlyng-Hansen (179-88, college: Siena) added 10 points in the effort for Stevnsgade. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Virum have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 13-4 record behind leader Horsholm. Stevnsgade at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Virum are looking forward to face league's leader Horsholm on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stevnsgade will play against Lemvig and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
