It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Kibirkstis's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-18 extending their advantage to 13 points. The best player for the winners was American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. International forward Laura Juskaite (187-97) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Kibirkstis' coach Jurgita Streimikyte used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Kibirkstis have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-4 record behind leader Suduva. Loser Fortuna keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. Kibirkstis will meet at home league's second-placed Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fortuna will play against the league's leader Suduva in Marijampole and hope to secure a win.
