Date: February 21, 2018
The game in Lemvig supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked SISU (8-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Lemvig (2-15). SISU smashed Lemvig 91-63 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Lemvig managed to win second period 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Lemvig's 32. They outrebounded Lemvig 46-29 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) who scored that evening 30 points and 4 assists and forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) supported her with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. SISU's coach Todd Anthony felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) by American forward Lisa Murphy (185-94, college: Carnegie Mellon) did not help to save the game for Lemvig. FYR Macedonian guard Ivana Udovalieva (174-84) added 13 points for lost side. SISU maintains fourth position with 8-9 record. Loser Lemvig dropped to the bottom place with 15 games lost. SISU will meet Vaerlose (#5) on the road in the next round. Lemvig will play against Stevnsgade and hope to secure a win.
