Top ranked Suduva (16-4) recorded its fourth loss in Marijampole. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Fortuna (10-12) 73-69. The guests were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-15 Suduva's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 73-69 at the end of the game. Fortuna brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Sandra Baliutaviciute (182-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Andra Gabalyte (179-80, college: Liberty) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Fortuna players scored in double figures. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Suduva. Fortuna maintains fifth place with 10-12 record. Defending champion Suduva still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Kibirkstis and Sirenos. Fortuna will play against higher ranked Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Suduva will play against Aistes-LSU in Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
