Second Stage Round 2: Grosbasket - Triglav 44-77

The game in Grosuplje supposed to be also quite interesting. Triglav (13-3) played at the court of Grosbasket (5-11). Triglav smashed Grosbasket 77-44 on Saturday. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Grosbasket to just 7 points in first quarter. Triglav dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Grosbasket's 30. Triglav forced 24 Grosbasket turnovers and had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-93) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 8 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Maja Jakobcic (184-97) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Center Teja Gorsic (187-99) responded with 8 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Maska Gabrijel (170-98) scored 10 points and 5 steals. Grosbasket's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Triglav will meet at home Domzale (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Grosbasket will play against Maribor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
