Regular Season Round 22: Muenchen OSB - Zwickau 148-84

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Muenchen OSB (11-9) smashed at home 14th ranked GGZ Baskets (1-19) 148-84 on Saturday. Muenchen OSB dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to GGZ Baskets' 42. They outrebounded GGZ Baskets 45-19 including a 31-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Muenchen OSB shot the lights out from three sinking 23 long-distance shots on high 60.5 percentage. Forward Jermaine Lippert (203-90, college: Detroit Mercy) had a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) chipped in 38 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Muenchen OSB's coach Christos Diktapanidis felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Andreas Endig (198-78) responded with 33 points (!!!) (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and center Uwe Kupfer-Zwingelberg (208-81) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Muenchen OSB maintains sixth position in South-East with 11-9 record. GGZ Baskets lost nineteenth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. Muenchen OSB will face league's second-placed Gotha II on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. GGZ Baskets will play against Rosenheim (#11) and hope to win that game.
