No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked Mainz (8-13) won against on the road 15th ranked Limburg (1-20) 76-61 on Saturday. Mainz dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Limburg's 22. Strangely Limburg outrebounded Mainz 41-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Naturalized American point guard Anish Sharda (188-82, college: St.Mary's, KS) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Kewan Beebe (183, college: Geneseo St.) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Mainz's coach Christian Zander used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Dominic Early (198-93, college: Co.Georgia) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and center Norman Klima (206-96) scored 8 points and 15 rebounds. Mainz have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place in South-West. Limburg lost eighteenth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Mainz will face league's leader BV Villingen-Schwenningen at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Limburg will play against Kaiserslautern (#9) and hope to win that game.
