Regular Season Round 22: Muenster - Herford 94-89

Regionalliga top team - Muenster (19-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Herford (9-12) 94-89. Muenster players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jan Koenig (201-93) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Andrej Koenig (195-87) contributed with 22 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Canadian-British forward Kris Douse (198-86, college: Point Park) replied with 22 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Carlbe Ervin II (190-95, college: Kansas St.) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Herford. Five Herford players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Muenster have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in West with 19-2 record, which they share with Grevenbroich. Herford at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Muenster's next round opponent will be Salzkotten (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Herford will play against Duesseldorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
