Regular Season Round 22: Kronberg - Tuebingen II 92-97

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Kronberg (7-13) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Tuebingen II (11-9) 97-92 on Saturday. Tuebingen II dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kronberg's 34 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Naturalized Swiss Robert Zinn (197-95) scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Albanian forward Vildan Mitku (200-83) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Frederik Zwiener (195) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Noah Litzbach (195-0) scored 21 points. Kronberg's coach Milo Crnjac tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tuebingen II moved-up to sixth place in South-West. Kronberg lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Tuebingen II will face Fellbach (#8) at home in the next round. Kronberg will play against BG Karlsruhe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
