Regular Season Round 25: Aistes-LSU - Vilkmerge 56-52

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Vilkmerge's (4-17) road loss to fifth ranked Aistes-LSU (10-11) 52-56. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vilkmerge won third quarter 13-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Aistes-LSU won last quarter 19-17. Worth to mention a great performance of Klaudija Serkeviciute (170-99) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds. Karolina Kazociunaite (179-99) contributed with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Agneta Kisieliene (181-89, college: NC-Greensboro) answered with 11 points and 9 rebounds and guard Rita Zilinskaite (175-92) added 13 points in the effort for Vilkmerge. Aistes-LSU moved-up to fourth place. Vilkmerge lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Aistes-LSU will play against league's leader Suduva in Marijampole in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vilkmerge will play at home against Siauliai-Univ. (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
