Important game to mention about took place in Angra Heroismo. Tenth ranked Ovarense (7-13) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Boa Viagem (9-11) 54-52 on Saturday evening. Ovarense forced 21 Boa Viagem turnovers. It was a very good performance for American forward Mikaela Shaw (183-94, college: Omaha) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Her fellow American import center Alison Bouman (193-92, college: Davenport) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Ugandan forward Claire Lamunu (185-93, college: Vanguard) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Sara Dickey (180-95, college: Evansville) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Boa Viagem. Boa Viagem's coach Roberto Simoes rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ovarense moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Vitoria SC. Loser Boa Viagem dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Ovarense will face higher ranked Olivais (#7) in Coimbra in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
