Second Stage Round 6: Rilski 2 - Chernomorets 88-87

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Division A took place in Samokov. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Chernomorets (2-4) to sixth ranked Rilski 2 (1-5) 88-87 on Sunday evening. Rilski 2 outrebounded Chernomorets 39-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Miroslav Vasov (198-98) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Nikolay Gelov (206-98) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Dimitar Naydenov (185-80) who recorded 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Stoyan Milchev (185-95) added 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively. Four Rilski 2 and five Chernomorets players scored in double figures. Rilski 2 maintains sixth position in A with 1-5 record. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. Rilski 2 are looking forward to face league's leader CSKA in Sofia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chernomorets will play at home against Balkan 2 (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
