The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Braunschweig's (6-11) road victory over 10th ranked B.Loewen (4-13) 69-54 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American point guard Ariel Hearn (171-94, college: Memphis) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Lyndi Laborn (190-90, college: UTSA) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Deeshyra Thomas (168-95, college: Weber St.) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Anne Storck (180-88) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. B.Loewen's coach Dhnesch Kubendrarajah tested ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Braunschweig maintains ninth place in North with 6-11 record. B.Loewen lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Braunschweig will face higher ranked SG BBZ Opladen (#8) in Leverkusen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. B.Loewen will play on the road against Rotenburg/Scheessel and hope to win that game.
