Regular Season Round 26: Aistes-LSU - Suduva 62-68

An interesting game for Suduva (17-4) which played road game in Kaunas against 4th ranked Aistes-LSU (10-12). First ranked Suduva managed to get a 6-point victory 68-62. The guests were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 20-13 Aistes-LSU's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 68-62 at the end of the game. Suduva dominated on the defensive end, holding Aistes-LSU to just 6 points in first quarter. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Greta Tamasauskaite (177-91, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Suduva players scored in double figures. Forward Akvile Baronenaite (185-93) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Kristina Masionyte (173-0) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-4 record. Aistes-LSU at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost. Suduva will play against Vilkmerge (#6) in Ukmerge in the next round where they are favorite. Aistes-LSU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kibirkstis in Vilnius and hopes to get back on the winning track.
