Regular Season Round 23: Herzogenaurach - TSV Troester 77-85

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Herzogenaurach (7-14) was defeated at home by fifth ranked TSV Troester (14-6) 85-77 on Saturday. TSV Troester forced 20 Herzogenaurach turnovers. Herzogenaurach was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Joerg Dippold (195-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 6 rebounds. Center Erik Land (205-90) helped adding 24 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Patrick Horstmann (201-87, college: Keiser) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and Marvin Omuvwie (197-97) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. TSV Troester maintains fifth place in South-East with 14-6 record. Herzogenaurach lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. TSV Troester will face Topstar (#9) in Diedorf in the next round. Herzogenaurach will play on the road against Muenchen OSB and hope to win that game.
