Regular Season Round 18: Horsholm - SISU 72-81

Top ranked Horsholm (15-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked SISU (10-9) 81-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Horsholm. Horsholm trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 18-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-81 at the end of the game. SISU dominated on the defensive end, holding Horsholm to just 6 points in third quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by Horsholm helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Hannah Schaible (175-94, college: G.Washington) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SISU have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 10-9 record. Horsholm at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. SISU are looking forward to face higher ranked Stevnsgade (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Horsholm will play against Lemvig and is hoping to win this game.
