Regular Season Round 20: Recklinghausen - Wolfenbuettel 60-86
Date: March 3, 2018
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel (12-6) smashed on the road 10th ranked Recklinghausen (4-14) 86-60. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel made 20-of-21 charity shots (95.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Canadian guard Nakeshia Hyde (180-90, college: Texas Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Leonie Rosemeyer (182-99) supported her with 25 points. Even 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals by American guard Kiki Robertson (170, college: Alaska-Anch.) did not help to save the game for Recklinghausen. Guard Jule Kassack (168) added 18 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel moved-up to third place in North. Recklinghausen lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel's next round opponent will be league's second-placed TG Neuss at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Recklinghausen will play against TuSLi Berlin (#4) in Lichterfelde and hope to win that game.
