Regular Season Round 19: Eskisehir Basket - Gaziantep 84-85

Bottom-ranked Gaziantep managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time they edged eighth-ranked Eskisehir Basket in Edirne 85-84. It was a great evening for American Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) helped adding 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Gaziantep's coach Nenad Markovic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Ukrainian center Viacheslav Kravtsov (212-87, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and scored 17 points and 6 assists. Gaziantep (4-15) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Usak. Eskisehir Basket lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Gaziantep is looking forward to face higher ranked Demir IBB (#12) in Buyukcekmece in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eskisehir Basket will play on the road against Galatasaray (#11) in Istanbul and is hoping to win this game.
