Regular Season Round 25: UBSC Graz - Vienna 72-95

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vienna (12-11) crushed on the road bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (2-21) 95-72. The game was mostly controlled by Vienna. UBSC Graz was better in second period 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vienna dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 40. They outrebounded UBSC Graz 42-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Vienna players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners and Czech center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, college: Iowa St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 23 points and 13 rebounds. Five Vienna players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward David Heuberger (195-92) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Angolan-French guard Silvio Mateus (184-94) scored 24 points. Vienna maintains fifth place with 12-11 record. UBSC Graz at the other side stay dead last with 21 lost games. Vienna will play against Gunners Oberwart (#7) on the road in the next round. UBSC Graz will play against the league's second-placed Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
